Halloween Fun!

I love a Sew-Along but I don't always have the time to make every quilt. So this year, when I saw these 2 Halloween Quilt-Alongs and instantly fell in love I decided to make a couple pillows from my stash. I may still make these quilts because they are awesome, but for now these pillows will have to do.

The Skully Quilt block is designed by Corrine Sovey and it's from the Spooky Season Sampler hosted by Cotton and Joy. This collaboration with several designers had 9 differnt quilt blocks. They are all awesome! Be sure to check the #spookyseasonsampler to see all the fabulous things people have made. Since Corrine designed the block I decided to quilt it with her Spiderweb Tile Pantograph. It's perfect!

The owl pillow is Gizmo from the Soul-A-Long free quilt block event hosted by Mija Handmade. This was another Sew-Along with various designer blocks. Gizmo was designed by Erin Grogan of Love Sew Modern.

For both blocks I added borders to make them fit 16" pillow forms and the Pom Pom trim seemed like a must! Both of these Sew Alongs offered the patterns for free for a limited time, so head over to there websites by the 31st!

I hope this inspires you to make something today!

Happy Sewing!
