Love is in the Air!

True confessions....I have been a little obsessed with Valentine's Day this year. It started right after Christmas when all the red and pink decor started showing up in the retail stores. I went down a serious rabbit hole and I'm still in it. The first thing I started playing with was this scrappy bow pillow. I saw a velvet bow pillow in one of the retail stores and I thought it would be SO cute in patchwork, so I dug all my scraps out and dove in. Here she is!

I didn't have a lot of heart prints in my reds and pinks so I added some in from this Valentine's Day Bundle at The Quilt Spot:

This was such a fun, quick sew DIY project! It would look good in any scrappy fabrics. I am sure I'll make it again. If you want to make it too, here's a tutorial I put together for you guys.

Since I had my scraps out, I also started a Valentine's Edition of the No Points Stars pattern by Cluck Cluck Sew.

I have made this quilt several times now and I am STILL not sick of it. I love diving into my scrap bins and giving those old fabrics a home. It's a free pattern by Cluck Cluck Sew. You don't have to worry about matching up your points. You trim it down after you sew the block together so it is super forgiving and I can sew with wild abandon. I really want to finish this before Valentine's Day but it's a long shot. Either way, I love sewing things like this in season. Here's a link to where you can find the free pattern.

Fingers Crossed on finishing this one before Vday! Till next time....

I hope this inspires you to make something today!
