Free Flag Block Pattern!

This year is flying by! I can't believe it's already July and August is nipping at my heals as I type! I have so many things going on it's hard for me to keep up but I'm trying to soak in these summer days and get more progress on all my projects.

If you want more details on what I'm working on, be sure to watch my YouTube videos. They have more details and I am able to share so much more on there.

I did hit a few milestones this month, first up - I finished all the blocks for my red, white and blue version of the Scrappy House Sew Along! I'm a little ahead of schedule, but I'm trying to do two versions so finishing up these blocks frees up some time to work on my scrap version.

As promised I also wrote the instructions for the flag block I'm planning in putting in my red, white and blue version. Here it is!

Some of those pieces are tiny! If you're feeling like you need glasses to see the N & H pieces, you're not mistaken. The first time I made this block those were super tight so the next time I cut them wider before I sewed them in. Then I trimmed them down before adding the next pieces.

We'll be working on these quilts all year, so if you want to join the fun, be sure to check out our original post about the Quilt Along.

Next Up - One Nation is DONE!!!! I am SOOO excited! I want to climb on top of the house and shout from the roof that I finished this stitch but the neighbors would probably think I have lost my mind. I was dreading stitching those white stars but once I got a few done, I went into autopilot and settled in. The first set felt like they took forever, but once I had about 1/3 done, I just plugged away at as many as I could each time I sat down with it. I ordered a frame and I'm sure I'll be sharing more when it's fully finished.

If you'd like more info on the One Nation Stitch Along that we are hosting - please visit other blog posts about this project.

Well two milestones down....ten million to go! LOL! but for now, off to camp pick up!

As always, I hope this inspires you to make something today!
